What is Deeksha (also known as Oneness Blessing)?

Deeksha is a transfer of divine, intelligent energy. The deeksha process works by creating a neurobiological shift in the brain and awakening the energy centres (Chakras) in the body. This shift in consciousness frees you from the suffering created by the mind, balances the body's natural healthy and healing energies and attunes the brain with the fields of unity, bringing an end to the illusion of “apparent separation”. Once initiated, it is a gradual Awakening process that leads you naturally to a lasting state of Oneness, Inner peace, and Well-being.  Deeksha is transferred, by the deeksha giver, placing his or her hands onto the crown of your head, usually for about 1 minute. Experiences during the transfer can vary, sometimes strong or subtle. Sometimes the receiver may experience a tingling sensation in the head, sometimes blissful energy flowing through the body, or you may not feel anything at all, this is not so important. The receiver can trust that no matter what he or she experiences during the transfer, a process depending on your own nature has been initiated that will lead you gradually (or sometimes suddenly!) into your Awakening.

 

What is the experience of receiving Deeksha?

During and after Deeksha, all kinds of experiences may occur. The more real, the more humble the recipient is, the deeper the Shakti of the Guru penetrates. When you receive Deeksha, you may experience deep peace, a spreading of warmth, or maybe a lightness of being. You may experience a general sense of wellbeing, stillness, or silence, or you may not notice much at all. You may also see Divine Light, which increases your joy for life or meditation. Whatever the conscious experience, the benefits will accrue. Never doubt the efficacy of Deeksha, for it is a great power, not to be taken lightly. After Deeksha, the light of reality has touched your whole being; you have received the Darshan of Divine Light. The experience of Deeskha transcends all of the states of waking, dreaming and sleeping and moves you into a place of peace, serenity and tranquility. It is this Grace, this energy, that takes you into Divine Knowledge.

During Deeksha, the light moves into the mid-brain, the location of the deepest and densest samskaras, the memories of past actions or karmas. This light begins to soften the midbrain and transmute the karmas into light. Deeksha also causes the activity of the brain’s parietal lobes to decrease and the activity of the frontal lobes to increase. This changes the quality of brain consciousness and the brain itself, and your consciousness is raised. As a result you feel lighter, more open, relaxed and focused. Experiences will change, but the unfolding illumination is permanent. This permanent transformation in the brain has to take place in order for permanent Enlightenment to take place.

Where can I get a Oneness Blessing?

 

In Boise, Idaho, there is a place called the "Divine Playground" where groups meet weekly to experience the energy of the Divine through Oneness.  We currently have over 30 blessing givers, I am one.  If you are interested in attending one of these groups, you are more than welcome to do so for just the price of a love donation, or free if you have no money.  No one is ever turned away for lack of money.   There are weekly classes available too, as well as weekend experiences.  Scholarships are available for these weekend events.
